January Wrapup
Hi Everyone....
Mom is going to write a little bit about Our January Fun..... Love, Coco and Bri
Hi... Hope you all had wonderful January's!
Our January was filled with family, friends and parties!! We started out the month with a NewYear's Dinner at our house for several of our special friends. Ramona, Claudia and Jim joined us to help celebrate the brand new year. Then on the 17th we headed down to Oceanside to spend the weekend with our grandkids, Kyle and Kelsey, while their Mom, Shellie, went off on a Weekend Birthday Cruise with several friends to celebrate her big 40! Boy did that make us feel old. As you already know, we squeezed in a visit to the dog beach in Corona Del Mar with Kyle, Kelsey, Mollie and Sophie and lot's of fun was had by all. On the way home we got to stop by Mom and Dad Dellinger's for dinner and had a nice visit. We got home Monday night, the 19th, safe and sound.
On January 27th , my birthday, Jewel took Me, Kenny and Jonathan for dinner at our favorite restaurant, Tuscany Grill , for a YUMMY dinner...got to have Prime Rib..my favorite! Jewel spotted each of us to $20 dollars worth of Draw Poker play and Kenny won $80 and I won $20.... So much fun when you WIN! Karma came to visit on January 28th for a few days because Jewel was going to California for a couple of Fundraisers.
Then on January 30th the fun continued....We had a joint Birthday Party for me and my friend Ramona. We had 18 friends and family for a sitdown dinner of Ham and Turkey with LOTS of side dishes. Ramona's Corn Muffin Casserole, My Chicken Wings (which were really a recipe from my friend Leslie, a very old recipe!!!) and Claudia's meatballs were the hits of the party food, although there was a lot more and we ALL stuffed our faces!! Isn't that what a party is for? You can view some of the highlights in the slideshow on this blog!
We finished the weekend and started February with a small gathering for the Superbowl. Ramona and Adrea joined us for more YUMMY munchies and to root on our pick, the Arizona Cardinals.. unfortunately it was not to be for the Cardinals, although they made a very valiant effort! That did make us all a bit sad... Oh well..there is always next year! Maybe Kurt Warner will not retire now!
On a different note, our friend, Dave Vasser has been called on to serve our country in Afghanistan and we ask for prayers to keep him safe and return him soon to his family and to give them strength while he is gone. Aimee, his wife and a special friend of mine, had a liver transplant a little over a year ago and is doing amazing, but I know she and Andrew and Natalie will miss Dave immensely while he is gone.
So that was how our January turned.....Hope yours fun and safe also. Check in often to see our updates and leave us a note on how you all are doing!
Love, Denice
(PS...Aimee I love PINK and stole this from you! Love You! D)
I love you so much - I don't think you'll ever know! Thanks for the shout out! I'll have to call you soon so we can have a long talk. What a great update. I'm so sorry I missed your birthday, but know that you are in all of our daily thoughts and prayers. XOXOX Love you all the way up to heaven! :)
